I read an article a few weeks ago about how parents don't pay enough attention to their kids because they are on their phones, laptops, etc., it made me feel terrible, I couldn't help but think of all the times I was on my phone or watching TV instead of giving my son my FULL attention. Ever since then I've made it a point to not have my phone in my hand or in arms reach when I am with him. I'm by no means saying I don't pick up my phone here and there and check my social media I post videos on Snapchat all the time BUT I've made it a point to quickly glance at my phone. I don't go through everything and stay on my phone for over a few minutes at a time. At first I thought wow it might be hard since I feel like having my phone with me at all times is necessary, which isn't at all, I've come to realize I hardly ever need it. I feel like April started off just right with babes birthday just around the corner and having a few things planned out for us to do OUTDOORS, which is huge for us. I tend to want to go places indoors or outdoors only when there is no sun mainly because I get terrible tans very quickly...but this month I really want to make sure we do a lot more outdoor stuff Ian will enjoy. It had rained for what seemed like over a month straight and now the weather is just perfect to go explore. Notice he is wearing the same outfit in all the pictures, yes, it was the same day. Park and beach on the same day! It was just such a nice day. We had brunch at the park and after Ian's very short nap we headed to the beach.
