Although this isn't Ian's first or second pumpkin, this is his first carved pumpkin. He kind of freaked out a little and tried to hide behind me when we started carving his pumpkin but I think it's because he might have thought we were hurting it, he had grown fond of it since we did have it for a few days before we decided to carve it. We let him choose what we should carve and we let him help as much as possible. That definitely helped him get a little more excited and less nervous about what was happening. After we were done he absolutely loved it, in one of the pictures it looks as if Ian is hitting his pumpkin with his dinosaur but that was actually him trying to scare it 😯We had twinkle lights laying around so we put those inside his pumpkin and now he gets excited at night because he knows how to turn it on and off. He even tries to move it around, which he cant but he can make it face a different direction. I think he's proud of that. It was our first pumpkin carving experience and it was so much fun. It's not perfect but I think it turned out quite cute. He's also obsessed with wearing a santa hat he found in his basket with toys. He loves it even when he's going to sleep he will not take it off. I really want to find a cute knitted santa hat for him in his size. The one he wears is an adult size and it falls off ALL THE TIME. Last year I found a site that sold cute santa hats for kids but I remember there were only a few days left in the year so I ended up not buying it which now I regret. They were perfect!
